Lucy Butler is currently the Director of the South-East Regional Care Cooperative.
She is an experienced Director of Children’s Services with over 25 years’ experience working in the adult and children services sector. Lucy is also the chair of the Staff College, an organisation promoting strong leadership in the sector. She is passionate about making sure we live in a society where all our children thrive.
Mark Evans is currently the Project Lead for the South-East RCC.
Mark is passionate and committed to improving services for children and young people and has a track record of delivering continual improvement at both an individual and service level.
As a former Head of Children’s Services, Mark has enjoyed a long and established career working in Local Authorities. He now works as a consultant alongside local authorities and others, to continually help support and improve children’s services.
Wendy Williams is currently the Commissioning Lead for the South-East RCC. With twenty-five years of dedicated service within Children’s Services, Wendy’s reputation as a leader and seasoned professional, with a profound commitment to enhancing the lives of children and young people.
Wendy’s passion lies in the meticulous design, construction, and delivery of bespoke services and homes tailored to meet the unique needs of those in the care system. Recognising the systemic challenges, she consistently advocates for innovative, collaborative solutions to ensure children and young people can lead the remarkable lives they deserve.
Alistair Herbert is currently the Head of Data and Sufficiency for the South-East RCC. He is also the Lead Officer for Data to Insight at East Sussex County Council. With a career focused on local authority children’s services data work and multi-agency collaboration, he knows about data work, information systems, and cross-organisation collaboration.
Alistair is very excited to be taking on the role as Head of Data and Sufficiency for the RCC, he wants to find out how we can improve outcomes for young people in the region and help generate transferable learning so that others can do the same.
Helen Humphry is currently the Business Manager for the South-East RCC. She is an accomplished professional with broad-ranging experience and a successful track-record in the private, public and charity sectors. She has played a pivotal role in several start-up projects, including being a founder and former Chair of Governors of Chichester Free School. She is excited to have the opportunity to make a difference to children and young people.
Luke Rodgers BEM is the CEO of The Care Leaders, a lived experience leader, and an award-winning social entrepreneur, recognised with the British Empire Medal (BEM) in the 2018 Queen’s Birthday Honours List. He has 10 years of experience in co-designing projects that enhance the experiences of children in and leaving care.
Luke is working with us to develop the Southeast Youth Participation Collective, a ground-breaking initiative connecting participation workers from local authorities across the Southeast. This collaborative network is designed to amplify the voices of care-experienced young people, ensuring they are central to shaping the services that impact their lives.
