SE DCS Peer Challenge

Update:

Plans are progressing well for the Challenge Visits to Portsmouth (6/7 April), Southampton (18/19 May) and Brighton and Hove (26/27 June). A review date in November 2017 is being planned, following which a decision will be taken about whether or not to renew the SE DCS Peer Challenge in 2018, and if so, with what changes following this year’s learning about what works.

Action Required:

Many thanks for all your responses, the visiting teams are now filled.

The Brighton and Hove (26/27 June) team led by Steve Crocker (DCS Hampshire and IoW) will include Rachel Morgan (Head of Standards and Effectiveness at Bracknell Forest), Mark Frankland (Principal Manager, Young People Services and Family Support, West Sussex CC) and Sam Bushby (Assistant Director – Children’s Services at Surrey CC).

Data Benchmarking Group

Update:

New this week from the Data Benchmarking Group are the Q3 Adoption benchmarking reports and a revised version of the Social Care benchmarking first published two weeks ago. Both these reports are ‘restricted’ circulation.

Many thanks to all concerned.

Action Required:

‘Restricted’ reports contain unsuppressed data, and data which is not in the public domain. Please do not share these outside of your LA. Colleagues in the Data Benchmarking Group have the password access they require to see these reports. If you have any questions, please contact Alastair Lee (details below).

AD Education Network – 17 March 12.30

Update:

The extra meeting of the AD Education Network is taking place today. 

There are range of links and resources available on the AD Education page in relation to innovative approaches being developed in Brighton, Wokingham, Kent and Oxfordshire.
