About the Data Benchmarking Group
The purpose of the group is to provide:
- accurate and timely data to support self assessment and peer review
- data and benchmarking support to specific south east region projects
- support to Directors in the preparation of data for Ofsted and other inspection activity
- a network for strategic managers and information and data professionals to develop regional benchmarking reports which support the SESLIP
- a mechanism for data managers in the South East Region to discuss and provide feedback on data issues to the DfE, Ofsted, the Adoption Leadership Board and other regional networks as appropriate.
Data Benchmarking reports are produced for a range of data covering Children’s Social Care, Adoption, Early Help, Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND), and Children’s Social Care Workforce.
The group publishes two categories of report:
- Freely available reports – produced using only data that is available in the public domain
- Restricted reports – produced using unpublished data collected from Local Authorities as part of the regular Benchmarking exercise
If you have any queries or technical problems associated with the data benchmarking group, including requiring a login for the Restricted Reports area, please email the Data, Research and Information Management Team’s inbox:
