Terms of reference for the CME group

Groups of member LAs have been been supported to share practice and development recommendations for local and national improvement.

The In-year Fair Access group highlights good practice local arrangements and makes recommendations with a view towards the Government updating the Schools Admissions Code: here.

We recently circulated this letter from the DfE about elective home education (EHE) which sets out expectations of the role of local authorities (LAs).

We will be welcoming DfE colleagues from the EHE team to our 9 June 2021 CME Sub-group meeting.

With our LAs receiving an increasing number of notifications of children moving to EHE, we have put together this response on behalf of SESLIP which has been sent to the DfE.
