This project was initiated in response to one of the key common themes arising from the 2018-19 cycle of Triad Peer Challenges.
We seek to improve the effectiveness of existing quality assurance activities and ensure they help members, directors and management teams answer the “how do we know about the quality of our services” question.
The Developing Regional Quality Assurance Capacity Project supports our joint working on improving quality assurance capacity and capability.
A network of Quality Assurance Lead Officers has been established and meets four times a year. The group has developed a proposal for Common Components of a Quality Assurance Framework which aims to develop and share ‘good quality assurance practice’ and improve consistency across the region.
This project is sponsored by Kevin Kasaven (details below) on behalf of Sarah Hammond, DCS Kent.
Next Steps
A Child Protection Chairs network has been set up as a sub-group of the QA Leads network. Membership of the network and the role of IROs and CP Chairs document can be accessed in the box opposite.
Audit Templates, Practice Standards and QAFs should now be sent to Kevin Kasaven for sharing. These are accessible to registered users in the Quality Assurance Restricted Area.
Access to the restricted area is limited to members of the South East Sector Led Improvement Programme (SESLIP) Quality Assurance Leads Group and their nominated officers. Any changes of QA Leads to be notified to Kevin Kasaven (details below).
